After years of planning, Clarksville’s new Gateway Park is nearly ready to open to the public. That means it is time to release our first-ever Clarksville Parks Outdoor Movie Series Schedule! All movies begin at dusk (around 8 or 8:30pm), and admission is FREE. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome, but alcohol is not allowed. If you don’t want to worry about packing snacks, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has you covered. We will be selling fresh popcorn, candy, and sodas during each movie night. We may also be holding give-a-ways for the kids, so be sure to watch our Facebook page for details! “Seabiscuit” – Friday, May 6, 2016
In the midst of the Great Depression, a businessman (Jeff Bridges) coping with the tragic death of his son, a jockey with a history of brutal injuries (Tobey Maguire) and a down-and-out horse trainer (Chris Cooper) team up to help Seabiscuit, a temperamental, undersized racehorse. At first the horse struggles to win, but eventually Seabiscuit becomes one of the most successful thoroughbreds of all time, and inspires a nation at a time when it needs it most.
“The Good Dinosaur” – Friday, June 3, 2016
Luckily for young Arlo, his parents and his two siblings, the mighty dinosaurs were not wiped out 65 million years ago. When a rainstorm washes poor Arlo (Raymond Ochoa) downriver, he ends up bruised, battered and miles away from home. Good fortune shines on the frightened dino when he meets Spot (Jack Bright), a Neanderthal boy who offers his help and friendship. Together, the unlikely duo embark on an epic adventure to reunite Arlo with his beloved family.

Now that Dracula (Adam Sandler) has opened the Hotel Transylvania’s doors to humans, things are changing for the better; however, Drac is secretly worried that his half-human grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing his vampire side. So, while Mavis and Johnny are away, Drac enlists his friends to help him put the boy through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. But things really get batty when Drac’s cantankerous dad (Mel Brooks) pays an unexpected visit.

From the largest elephant to the smallest shrew, the city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where various animals live and thrive. When Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a wily fox who makes her job even harder.
