2019 Movies in the Park Schedule Released!

Does our cold and wet winter weather have you feeling down? Well hopefully we can give you something to look forward to! The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce the schedule for our 3rd annual “Movies in the Park” Series.

Movies are shown on our giant inflatable screen on the event lawn at Gateway Park (500 Little League Boulevard).  All movies are FREE to everyone, and they will begin at sundown each day.  Coolers are welcome, but no smoking, alcohol, or pets are allowed in the park.  Concessions will also be available for purchase.  Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating!

incredibles2Friday, May 3rd – “Incredibles 2”

After the events of The Incredibles (2004), Elastigirl is sent on a mission to make supers legal again. Mr. Incredible  is left to care for Jack-Jack, Violet, and Dash. When a dangerous new threat arises, it is up to the family to neutralize the threat and save the day once again.

maryFriday, June 7th – “Mary Poppins Returns”

In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

ralphFriday, July 5th – “Ralph Breaks the Internet”

Taking place six years after saving the arcade from Turbo’s vengeance, the Sugar Rush arcade cabinet has broken, forcing Ralph and Vanellope to travel to the Internet via the newly-installed Wi-Fi router in Litwak’s Arcade to retrieve the piece capable of saving the game.

lego2Friday, August 2nd – “Lego Movie 2”

It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.  Starring the voices of Chris Pratt, Jonah Hill, Mayah Rudolph, and more.

lFriday, September 6th – “Little Giants”

Danny O’Shea has forever lived in the shadow of his brother, the great football player Kevin O’Shea. Kevin was stronger, faster, and more popular. But when his daughter is cut from Kevin’s pee-wee football team, Danny brings together a squad of picked-lasts and losers to prove to Kevin that he can still learn a lot from his brother.

transylFriday, October 4th – “Hotel Transylvania 3”

When the lonely Count Dracula goes on vacation with Mavis, his family and monster friends on the cruise ship Legacy, he immediately falls in love with the human Captain Ericka. However the mysterious woman has a secret that may jeopardize Dracula, his family and the other monsters. Who is Captain Ericka?

In addition to our regular Movies in the Park schedule, we will also be hosting a special “Fright Night” double feature on Friday, October 25th. The first movie will be be open to ages 13 & UP ONLY (Ages 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult). The second movie will be open to ages 18 & UP ONLY.

 

booFriday, October 25th – “Boo! A Madea Halloween”

While trying to keep an eye on a few misbehaving teens who are planning a wild Halloween night party, Madea is spooked by ghosts, killers, poltergeists, zombies and spirits. Giving them all a piece of her mind and fists, Madea must maintain order and sanity as she spends this hilarious, haunted Halloween night fighting off goons and goblins.

nightFriday, October 25th – “Night of the Living Dead” (1990)

The recently deceased are rising from the grave as flesh-hungry zombies. Fleeing from the undead horde, a small group of survivors sequester themselves in a remote farmhouse. With the zombies outside the house multiplying, tensions flare, as the group argues over the best way to try and stay alive.
