Have you heard the big news? A group made up of conservationists and local community leaders are bringing a new massive park to Clarksville!
The River Heritage Conservancy has been purchasing developed and undeveloped land along the Ohio River in Clarksville over the last year, with a goal of creating a new 400 acre park. The group believes the area offers a unique landscape for a dynamic world-class public park for active recreation, passive contemplation, spirited community gatherings, and wildlife conservation. The park would also mean a boom to the Clarksville and Southern Indiana economy.
A website is now available for area residents to learn more about the park with informative videos, important information, and more. There is also a survey so residents can voice their opinions about what features and amenities should be included in the park.
